Cayenta’s OMS integrates seamlessly to Cayenta Utilities and Cayenta Financials to provide a truly powerful and efficient ERP solution.
Work Order Management provides the capability to track a construction activity or multiple construction activities for scheduling, resource allocation, printing and completion by Work Order number. Work Orders can be billed out through the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivable module. Resource allocations involving inventory items will reserve items in the inventory system to create a Bill of Materials.
Job Costing provides the capability to record all activity cost information. A one-pass data entry feature captures job performance information, retains the relevant details and relays information for Payroll, material and equipment usage to other Cayenta Financial modules. It provides a means to record other resource charge out transactions including hired equipment, pit materials, labor resources and miscellaneous stock. Operational managers are provided with cost information for any job performed by a work crew either in an on-line environment or through detailed reports. Job Costing also provides a means of capturing work accomplishments, the ability to calculate unit cost of production, and to monitor job performance by comparing estimates with actual information. Job Costing can also be driven from the Work Order system. Work Plans and Work Orders can estimate resource requirements and automatically update the Job summaries when actual costs are recorded in the various Cayenta Financial systems.
Inventory Management provides for the tracking and management of consumable inventory. Integrated to the Work Order, Purchase Order and Accounts Payable modules, inventory is ordered and received through Purchasing and the price adjusted, if required, through the Accounts Payable invoice process. Inventory is reserved and issued out through the Work Order Management module. Reordering is accomplished from the Inventory Management system. Inventory issues, returns, and adjustments are immediately charged to an account code, job number or work order number. Inventory can be issued with an overhead charge and returns can charge a restocking charge under the user’s control. Stores Orders allows users to requisition items from the stores warehouse. It generates pick lists of items and handles backorder functions for the Inventory system.
The Asset Register contains the complete inventory of assets within a jurisdiction. Assets are grouped in logical areas (e.g. the buildings and improvements register, plant register, equipment register, etc.)
The Asset Register tracks the different asset types (e.g. roofs, HVAC, fire alarm systems, services etc. within the building register) and what assets exist within each asset type for validation, budgeting and planning purposes. It keeps detailed information (attributes) regarding each asset as well as maintaining asset condition and asset history information. A complete history of activities that have been performed on the various assets is maintained when activities are performed via the Work Order Management modules.
