We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative individual to join the Cayenta Product Development team. This team encompasses all of Cayenta’s CIS and ERP applications.

The Product Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of the software validation and beta testing for software releases of CIS & ERP.

As a Cayenta employee, you'll be working out of newly renovated office based out of the Cayenta Head office in Beautiful Burnaby, BC!

Details

  • Develop deep understanding of target customers and solutions for Utilities, Schools and Municipalities
  • Performs software validation and beta test of Cayenta’s products which might include Cayenta’s products and third party vendor integrations
  • Leads beta projects, small to medium sized, independently with minimal supervision.
  • Leads multiple small to medium projects concurrently
  • Able to investigate technical and workflow issues in depth and follow up with others, including third party vendors to identify resolutions
  • Acts as the R&D liaison for both internal and external customers.
  • Leads other team members in the project
  • Makes recommendations to process and procedure improvement for the team
  • Participates in internal product training prior to the software release
  • Able to travel extensively up to 50%
  • Able to learn quickly, independently and with minimal supervision
  • Able to endure extended periods of software release related challenge and pressure
  • High external and internal customer interaction

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience operating as a Business Analyst, Technical Consultant, Beta Test Engineer or QA Tester with customer exposure.
  • Ability to take an analytical approach and utilize technical knowledge to solve challenges with optimal solutions.
  • Experience with interfacing between multiple disciplines to gain full understanding of the architecture and design.
  • Experience with software requirements development, management and architecture.
  • Experience with requirements verification and validation is ideal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, flexibility, and customer-centric approach.
  • Knowledge of agile philosophies and methodologies.
  • Able to work on multiple project assignments concurrently and interact effectively internally and externally.
  • Familiarity with the mid to large utilities and school markets is an asset.
