Overview

The Senior Requirements Analyst translates business and system needs into Solution Requirements for Designers, Developers and Testers to consume and uses Requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification and management techniques for the purpose. Requirements Analysts are engaged in work efforts at all scales ranging from minor defect fixes and enhancements to development of new applications. They are also involved in all types of solution approaches and solution domains.

Details

Acts independently or with limited direction. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies the most complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system difficulties as necessary. Guides and advises less-experienced analysts. Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

Required Skills

• Ability to take an analytical approach and utilize technical knowledge to solve challenges with optimal solutions
• Experience with interfacing between multiple disciplines to gain full understanding of the architecture and design.
• Experience with software requirements development, management and architecture.
• Experience with requirements verification and validation.
• Must have a good understanding and knowledge of the technical theories, and concepts in the software field.
• Demonstrates integrity, accountability, flexibility, and customer-centric approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In–depth knowledge of requirements management best practices in the high-tech industry.
• Knowledge of software engineering processes. Strong organizational, inter-personal, supervisory and team building skills.  Able to interact constructively with other departments and their management teams, own staff, internal and external customers.  Able to support and contribute to cross-functional programs.  Able to interact with and present to senior management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating as a Requirements Analyst.
• In–depth knowledge of requirements management best practices in the high-tech industry.
• Ability to take an analytical approach and utilize technical knowledge to solve challenges with optimal solutions.
• Experience with interfacing between multiple disciplines to gain full understanding of the architecture and design.
• Experience with software requirements development, management and architecture.
• Experience with requirements verification and validation.
