Cayenta and Charleston Water System Launch “Project Omega”

Cayenta is proud to announce that Charleston Water System (CWS), a public utility serving more than 500,000 residents across the greater Charleston area, has selected Cayenta as its long-term partner for “Project Omega," a comprehensive initiative to modernize utility billing and customer engagement.

Through this partnership, CWS will implement a fully integrated suite of solutions, including the Cayenta Customer Information System (CIS), SilverBlaze Customer Engagement Portal (CEP), ServiceLink Mobile Workforce Management (MWFM), and SwiftComply Backflow Management. Together, these tools will give staff modern, intuitive capabilities while delivering a seamless customer experience.

CWS set out with clear goals: consolidate systems, reduce long-term support costs, and deliver a seamless customer experience. Cayenta’s platform was selected for its ability to provide a single system of record, integrate smoothly with advanced metering (AMI), GIS, and other critical systems, and grow alongside the evolving needs of the utility and its customers.
