Grovetown, GA – May 30, 2025 – Columbia County Water Utility (CCWU) has officially gone live on Cayenta Customer Information System (CIS) and Cayenta Customer Engagement Portal (CEP), marking a major milestone in its commitment to delivering enhanced service and operational excellence to the residents of Columbia County.
The successful go-live took place in late April, as CCWU began serving customers through the Cayenta solutions, transitioning away from legacy systems. The implementation included a comprehensive set of integrations with key technologies including Paymentus as the payment provider in addition to integrations to the Utility's WMS, AMI, MDM, and GIS platforms, ensuring a fully connected and efficient utility ecosystem.
“We were proud to stand alongside CCWU on-site to witness the first customer being served through the new CIS,” said the Cayenta implementation team. “The enthusiasm and dedication shown by their team throughout the project made this a truly collaborative and rewarding experience. Together, we’ve laid the foundation for a modernized, customer-centric future.”
CCWU’s vision for the project centered on delivering a more streamlined and transparent customer experience while increasing operational agility. With Cayenta CIS and CEP in place, CCWU is now equipped to provide intuitive self-service capabilities, improved billing accuracy, and seamless access to customer data, all of which are critical to meeting evolving customer expectations.
The addition of CCWU to Cayenta’s client community in the Southeast highlights Cayenta’s continued growth and trusted partnerships across the utility industry. This successful launch is a testament to the shared commitment to innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
